Make your very own goat milk soap (this is lye soap, not melt & pour) while learning:
The basics of making goat milk soap using the heat transfer/cold-process method, how to safely handle lye, how to use natural colorants and micas; and how to use essential oils and plant fragrances to scent soap.
By the end of class you’ll: feel confident in following a recipe to make your own soap at home, receive resources for supplies and recipes to continue making your own soap at home, have 8 oz of soap that you’ll cut into bars 24-48 hrs after class— (NOTE: You’ll need to cure your soap at least 3 weeks after class before using it); and you'll receive a cake of soap to use while yours is curing.
We'll even make it easy by providing you with a class kit!
What your registration fee includes:
*class kit for making your goat milk soap, including essential oils and coloring of your choice (the recipe we use for our class kits are the SAME premium quality recipe we use at Share the Soap for several of our goat milk soaps!)
*personal size goat milk soap for use while waiting for yours to cure
*digital instructions & link to course (course is held via Zoom and are available for replay for 1 week after live Zoom class)
What you need for class:
*A long-sleeved shirt or smock to wear over your clothes
*a hair clip or band to pull hair back if needed
*a table or countertop to work (free of pets and children while making soap due to the lye)
*Zoom and internet: You will receive a link to join the live class. If for some reason you can't make it live, there will be a replay available for 1 week.
NOTE: This is a beginning soapmaking course and is different from our Soapalong. This course is educational instruction whereas the Soapalong is a community of making soap kits together.
Had so much fun making soap with Tori. Learned alot and really liked choosing my own scent and style of bar. Ordered product to make my own at home! Took the class with my mom and sister. Fun for all!
